How to run plugins on FireFox 52?
If you are a big fan of Mozilla FireFox browser you might have noticed that different plugins like Java, Flash, oldschool Silverlight etc., stopped working. Starting from update 52 Firefox no longer supports different plugins.
As per Firefox this was done in order to increase security and performance of the browser. Unfortunately for FireFox, all these plugins are integral parts of everyday life of millions of users. Video players, banking apps, online tools and games stopped working after update 52.
Luckily at some point FireFox developers decided to postpone such radical action and released an update that will allow users to run all those plugins until 2018.
ESR (Extended Support Release) is how Firefox called the update. It can be downloaded for different systems and locations.
Note that Windows 64-bit version of Firefox ESR update will allow running only Flash and Silverlight. If you need Java or other plugin support, better download 32-bit version.

As per Firefox, this update gives some time for users to change their browsing experience avoiding plugins usage. However, looks like users will simply use this time to find another suitable browser for their everyday operations.
Stats show that before update 52, Firefox was slowing losing their share of the market, in average 2% monthly. After update 52 was release on January 2017, Firefox lost almost 10% of the market in just 2 month, 6% of users left FireFox in March.
Looks like this update will simply kill Firefox if they do not figure something out.
